What this policy explains

A cookie is a small record that a website provides to the browser for storage. LocalStorage and sessionStorage are other local storage mechanisms. Data held in the memory of an open page are not a persistent cookie. Server logs are a separate processing activity described in “Privacy”.
An ordinary visit
Public pages do not require a patient account. In the current implementation, no advertising pixels or application analytics scripts are enabled. The language choice is part of the /bg or /en address; public navigation does not require a separate preferred-language cookie.
Search entries and answers in interactive tools are not recorded by the application in cookies, localStorage or sessionStorage. This does not rule out technical network protection measures or processing by an external service that the visitor chooses to open.
Video and external services
YouTube video loads through youtube-nocookie.com only after you explicitly press the load button. Before that action, the player is not embedded. Afterwards, the browser connects to YouTube/Google and sends technical data, including an IP address. Privacy-enhanced mode does not mean that the provider performs no processing or local storage of any kind.
The decision to load a video is not stored in the application as permanent blanket consent. If you do not want a connection to YouTube, do not activate the player. After loading, you can leave or reload the page; a transfer that has already occurred cannot be retrospectively undone. Use browser and Google settings for stored external data. The map, MedSoft, social networks and external resources open through a link you choose. Cookies on their pages are managed by the respective provider. We do not describe an unverified external catalogue as CheckPoint Sofia's own inventory.
Choice and control
Storage that is technically necessary for an explicitly requested function is considered separately from optional tracking. Reading the page, scrolling or generally using the website does not constitute consent to future advertising or analytics.
In the implementation described, there is no general “Accept all” panel for advertising and analytics cookies because these application functions are not enabled. If they are added, clear information and an applicable mechanism for choice and withdrawal must be in place before activation; this text does not authorise future tracking in advance.
Browser settings let you view, delete or block cookies for individual websites and restrict third-party cookies. Deleting cookies does not delete medical records, correspondence or server logs.
